On this webpage, Chaotic Whitehouse's development is documented and updated on a weekly basis from the developer. The developer of Chaotic Whitehouse has published two mobile indie games and is a high school student working on Chaotic Whitehouse as a side project.

Early Early Morning Community Update (02/11/22)

I wish I could just dev all day, but since I have a human desire for people to actually play Chaotic Whitehouse when it is released, I know it is crucial to create a community and social media presence. Please join the Discord community – where I am more active, follow on Twitter, and follow on itch.io!

Late Night Dev Update (02/10/22)

Tonight, I have done some dev on the Chaotic Whitehouse. I have been redesigning my fictional Whitehouse to be a mixture between the one in the US capital and a corrupt luxury Casio mixed with pure chaos. The side rooms will feature complete chaos. I am going to be posting more to promote the game so follow Chaotic Whitehouse on twitter!🚀

A new school semester, but still proceeding! (08/29/21)

Honestly, I am a little sad with my final year of highschool starting and my summer being over and this week I have not been able to work on Chaotic Whitehouse. That being said, I in between travel and other activities I accomplished quite a bit of progress on Chaotic Whitehouse and am excited to keep this momentum. A common downfall in gamedev projects is mid-project fatigue, and honestly, I experienced it quite a bit this summer. Sometimes it was just very hard to start working on Chaotic Whitehouse as it is currently the largest project, I have ever made fill with a ton of dialog and oh all the small features and mechanics can take hours just to implement one. Despite this, I am excited to work on the game, as I have started making emotional cutscenes that appeal to me. I did some thinking over the summer, and have made slight changes to the game which I am still implementing, but will give the player a deeper experience. The humor, I love, but I really hope players see some of the hidden messages in the other characters in the game. That being said this summer, I have almost completed the town of Unidad and many accompanying side stories, improved many small things, improved the bot shop run, and I have started experimenting with improving the textbox UI. This semester, I hope to have the text boxes figured out and Unidad finished and the Whitehouse. I really appreciate it if you would share this with a friend just getting recognition on my game dev projects means the world to me. And thank you for reading and fill in your email if you have not already.

A hard school semester, but still proceeding! (4/10/21)

This has been a long semester packed with school work and SAT studying, and it has been hard trying to work on Chaotic Whitehouse. I have begun working inside the Whitehouse and some on the town. After Whitehouse and Town are complete, I will need to complete the alien site and polish the game for publishing. I am worrying about mobile optimization (as I have made IOS and Android games) so it is increasingly likely that the first version will be desktop and on itch.io for download. Also there is a new email dev@chaoticwhitehouse.com PLEASE EMAIL ME ANY IDEAS, and I plan on creating social media accounts soon for Chaotic Whitehouse!

Missed the 2020 launch deadline still going! (1/9/21)

I missed the 2020 launch deadline, but I am continuing to develop on the game. I have to finish the Whitehouse and Whitehouse grounds, the game ending, various side quests, and the main town. I still have quite a bit, but I’ve done so much and am so excited to launch my game!!!

Almost done with Manor 11/29/20

An investor con Paying for a favor

I have been working very hard on Chaotic Whitehouse daily for the past few days and in fact today I put in around 8-8.5 hours. I am still somewhat frustrated with how slow progress has been, but am very happy that I am almost done with the corrupt manor. I also added a small text box to take less screen space when it is not necessary. I have had a lot of fun making new characters such as Trevor, who’s truck blows up, and Atsila, a wholesome Security guard who lets you through to stop the corrupt politicians. This will be my longest game I would have ever produced. Frankly, its getting exhausting, but I will preserver and finish.

A Short Update on Progress 11/25/20

I am behind on finishing the wealthy manor and alien ship scene, but these scenes should done be fairly soon. Once these scenes are done, I will need to finish the large white house, finish up the town, record the remaining of the soundtracks, and polish and publish the game! I am the closest I have ever been to finishing this game and super excited. I think a January 2021 (Maybe late December?) release is likely!

Great Wealth 11/17/20

I have been creating the corrupt politician’s manor and estate. In this walled estate, there is much gold and wealth. There is are amazing super cars, delightful food, and luxurious cloths. Despite these immense luxuries and perfect looking life, the politicians, who have this wealth, are broken. They forgot about their people and only care about boosting wealth and popularity. I have been working a lot in photo shop this week creating this estate. And hope to have it and the alien corner done by Saturday. Then I will progress to finish the Whitehouse and the game. After the game is done, I will polish some aspects and finish content not directly relating to the story. I am being ambitious and hope to have the game fully finished before 2021.

Great Progress 11/09/20

Chaotic Whitehouse is coming along just three more game sections and finishing up the town until Chaotic Whitehouse is done!!! I am also working to improve game dynamics right now too.

Dhole News and Platform Crisis 10/25/20

Dhole News!

I would like to start and say I am very sorry for not providing weekly dev updates. I have been very busy studying for PSAT, but have worked on Chaotic Whitehouse. The update I am sharing to today is Dhole News! Dhole News is a news organization which spreads propaganda in Chaotic Whitehouse. All Dhole News can be written directly into the brain of those who wear red hats. In the Chaotic Whitehouse you must destroy the Dhole News antenna to free the MAGA hat wearers. To do so you must go through a dangerous industrial facility.
I have been testing Chaotic Whitehouse for the MS Windows, but I have been working to make it mobile compatible. I am aiming for it to be a mobile game, but due to its size it may not be feasible for decent performance. In the case it is not feasible it will likely be a game for Windows and Mac.

The First Boss 08/24/20

A scene from the lizard man boss battle
Inside a long tall white monument with a creepy statue and a lot of cash

This week I primarily focused on creating the boss fight. The first boss the player must fight is a lizard man inside of a very powerful robot suit. This lizard man has a quick temper and can knock the player out with one punch. The lizard man boss took a lot of perfecting to ensure that the boss does not go off the screen or is overpowered. I implemented in a basic weapon being the yoyo that the player can use to kill robots or beat the lizard man boss. The yoyo has required many glitch and bug fixes, and the yoyo will require a little more work to fix bugs. I added in a speed dash system, which is done and bug free as far as I know. Also, I worked on a few cometic changes such as updating the area around the bot shop, and added an angry apple, a creepy statue room, and a rain system.

An Introduction and Inspirations 08/15/20

I have been actively developing the current version of Chaotic Whitehouse for about a year. Chaotic Whitehouse was inspired by real world events, particularly distrust around the election, around May 2017 when I had finished my first robotics/gamedev class in 7th grade. I continued to make various prototypes and took a break to develop two other games in which grew and learned a lot as a game developer and creative. Most of my early childhood was spent outside, reading, or drawing. I was first introduced to games playing at friends’ houses and later got an iPad in 4th grade. I fell in love with Minecraft and its infinite possibilities. In 5th grade, I got a hand me down PS2 from a family friend and a copy of Pacman World 2, and my imagination took when playing Pac Man world 2 a beautiful 128bit 3D platformer. My friend got an NES; I was exposed to high quality pixel design in his 3 Super Mario Bros games. In 8th got to the point where I wanted to resell retro video games and consoles, and I learned a lot about selling, game design, and electronics. Chaotic Whitehouse will be based on some of these gaming inspirations and experiences, but crafted into my original masterpiece with awesome art, beautiful music, and an outrageous entertaining story.
